Job description
PJD are looking to recruit a Stores Assistant & National Delivery Driver, based from our Doncaster facility to support our outage season.
We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join team with an immediate start available. The contract term will be a fixed term basis for an agreed period, negotiated during the interview to support the whole season, with the potential to develop into a full time, permanent basis.
You must be punctual and presentable at all times as a representative of our business, have good communication skills and high attention to detail. There will be a high proportion of your time spent travelling the country to assist with deliveries from our central stores to the locations of work being undertaken whilst assisting the storeman with other duties in between.
You will be highly motivated who isn't afraid to assist in any area of the stores function when required.

Core Duties
This role requires travelling to sites nationwide, delivery and collection of plant, equipment and consumables.
Completion of stock takes.
Loading and unloading of equipment and consumables at our main distribution premises.
Maintaining, Cleaning & Condition Monitoring/Reporting on the condition of assets, plant, equipment and consumables.
Provide assistance to the Warehouse Controller where required.
Assisting with stock rotation, picking and packing of plant materials and consumables.
Some unskilled maintenance of Plant and Equipment.
Role
The main role is to deliver and collect plant, consumables, materials and associated items to our UK wide site locations.
Early starts and unsociable finishes are frequent in the busier periods, some weekend working will be mandatory and is wholly dependent on the Groups’ workload.
The position would suit a person residing local to the facility as travel to and from work is not provided.
Call out scenarios will occur albeit infrequently.
Practical knowledge of the type of plant, equipment and consumables our engineering business uses would be advantageous but not necessary.
The successful applicant will be afforded the opportunity to train in being certified to inspect equipment and issue PAT certification with a view to provide LOLER inspection training for a suitable applicant.
Requirements
A Full UK Driving Licence including 3500wgt vehicles preferably no endorsements, <7 points is a mandatory requirement
A minimum of 3 years evidenced experience
An ability to adapt and prioritise workload
A general understanding of the Plant, Tools, Equipment and Consumables Engineering companies use
Excellent housekeeping skills & pride in the company’s appearance
Be able to work under instruction when supervision is not available
Ability to liaise with fellow employees, clients and the supply chain
Ability to prioritise workload
Package
Hourly Remuneration - £12.00 per hour plus overtime as required (38 hour basic weekly contract, weekday and weekend overtime potential)
High Specification delivery vehicle
Subsistence paid if required

20 days annual leave pro rata plus Bank Holidays
Must have a UK Passport or valid work permit to allow you to work in the UK
