The role
We have an exciting new opportunity for you to join the team as an Assistant Shop Manager at our Barnards Green shop. This is an exciting new role that has been created as the shop moves to a larger shop premises. This position will require an enthusiastic and proactive individual who has retail experience not necessarily within the charity sector.
Key duties and responsibilities will include managing our wonderful team of volunteers for the store and also attracting and training new volunteers. Daily duties will include managing stock levels, sorting and pricing donations, merchandising and cash and record keeping.
You will assist in achieving and maximising sales, whilst managing and promoting the shop in the local area.
This is a role in which you can make a real difference, our Assistant Shop Managers are pivotal in contributing to the income generation for St Richard’s Hospice and raise the funds needed to provide care to patients and loved ones across Worcestershire.
About you
You will be committed to providing excellent customer service and have some experience and knowledge of working in a retail environment whilst previous experience within the charity sector environment would be an advantage.
This is a standout opportunity to further develop your retail skill set and experience, our retail roles are full of variety and every day is different.
St Richard’s Hospice currently have 17 stores throughout Worcestershire, which achieved a turnover of £2.4m last year through the sale of good quality clothes, bric-a-brac, books and furniture, donated by local people.
The positions require an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. This role may require supervision of volunteers under the age of 18
