A fantastic opportunity has arisen within the Emergency department at Bolton. We have vacancies for enthusiastic Health Care Assistants to join our busy and friendly team. We are looking for a motivated and experienced member of staff to be part of our team working within the emergency department. The post holder will be fully supported during their induction period by our lovely practice educators.

The Emergency Department HCA will work as a member of the multidisciplinary team, supporting trained staff in all aspects of clinical care. Responsibility includes care, cleaning, and management of equipment, clerical and administrative duties, stock maintenance.

You will be part of a hard working friendly team working together for improved patient care.

After appropriate training and assessments the post holders will have the option to perform tasks such as Venepuncture, cannulation, undertake diagnostic tests e.g. recording of EGCs, blood sugar analysis, blood gas analysis, treatment of minor injuries and simple back slab plastering.

Although based predominantly in The Emergency Department rotation may be required.
