Southern Plains Co-op is hiring a Food Store Manager for our Estevan Store in Estevan, Saskatchewan.

What you’ll do:
Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead a thriving store with multiple categories! Establish strategic goals, maintain brand standards, and exceed budgeted targets for sales, margins, and inventory. Inspire and develop a high-performing team, while providing exceptional customer service.
- Financial Management: Prepare, administer, and achieve budgeted goals as it relates to the pricing, sales, margins, expenses, and inventory across all departments. and ensure store goals are met.
- Customer Engagement & Relationship Management: Create exceptional Co-op experiences by engaging and interacting with member-owners and customers. Build and maintain relationships with internal & external customers and team members.
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership to the team, including the recruitment, goal setting, performance management, training, and development of team members.
- Brand and Merchandising: Promote and ensure adherence to brand and merchandising standards, marketing efforts, image standards,
- Business Growth: Drive business growth and provide outstanding customer service.
- Safety and Compliance: Responsible for coordination and oversight of all safety, maintenance, and asset protection policies.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations:
- You have 6 – 9 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years of leadership experience as a department lead or managing a mid-size store location (> or = $ 6 million annual sales).
- Retail experience in a competitive and complex environment is preferred. Experience within the Co-op Retailing System, or in a retail Food Store would be an asset.
- Ability to handle multiple demands – adaptable, organized, efficient, and committed.
- As a strong leader, you have a passion for driving engagement and developing talent.
- You balance stakeholders while also directing work and ensuring accountability.
- You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented, and strive to be the best in what you do.
- You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
