A rare opportunity has arisen within Scone Palace for a Retail Manager to lead a dedicated and enthusiastic Retail Team at ‘the Crowning Site of Scottish Kings’ and major Scottish Tourism attraction.

The main visitor attraction is the historic Scone Palace and Gardens, a 5-star rated heritage attraction that welcomes visitors for Palace tours and garden visits and has in-house retail and catering offerings, tempting visitors with our local and home-made produce and exciting program of events.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the Scone Palace retail operations sourcing high-quality products to be marketed through Scone Palace retail operations and online store. Key aspects of the role include:
- Day to day management of on-site and online sales
- Managing and developing the Retail team to sustain performance
- Developing a range of products & merchandise focussing on brand differentiation
- Merchandising and cross marketing with wider Palace & Estate team
- Management of EPOS system to provide intelligence to influence purchasing & sales
- Agreeing and meeting performance KPIs

You should be able to:
- Demonstrate proven hands-on experience of building and leading successful retail teams.
- Have brilliant people skills and be an energetic leader who promotes positivity and team-work
- Have a proven track record of successfully delivering KPIs, have excellent IT skills and a sound knowledge of EPOS systems.
- Demonstrate experience of merchandising to drive footfall, sales and repeat customers
- Demonstrate an enthusiasm for quality and great service delivery
