Rococo Chocolates is currently recruiting an experienced Store Manager to be based at one of their high street stores in central London.

Rococo Chocolates’ background

Chantal Coady OBE, opened Rococo and began the Real Chocolate Revolution in the UK in 1983. We have won numerous gold and silver awards at the International Chocolate awards Great Taste awards, and many Academy of Chocolate awards, including the 2017 ‘Golden Bonbon’. We now have 5 retail shops and many wholesale customers who will testify to the eclectic, sometimes eccentric but always delicious and beautifully presented chocolates and confectionery.

Responsibilities and Duties

Summary of Responsibilities

Reporting to the Group Retail Manager, responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Managing and motivating a team to increase sales and ensure efficiency
• Managing stock levels and ensuring product availability
• Providing and organising team training and development
• Analysing and tracking sales figures and forecasting future sales
• Dealing with staffing issues such as interviews, appraisals and performance reviews
• Ensuring standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met
• Communicating business updates and product developments etc. with the team
• Maintaining awareness of key market trends and monitoring competitor activity

Qualifications and Skills

Requirements

We are looking for a dedicated and reliable individual that can work effectively individually and as part of our team. The right person will be motivated and a quick learner. Other required skills include:

• At least one year of store management experience
• A track record of achieving sales targets
• Ability to set tasks and meet deadlines
• Great communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Self-motivated and with common sense and initiative
• Chocolate knowledge and/or food and beverage experience preferred
• Available to work full-time including weekends and evenings
• Live within one hour of central London

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
