We are looking for an individual that will support our manager at our new London Waterloo store to drive sales and manage costs to maximise profit that will help shape the future for you and others. MAIN DUTIES to include:
- To be the face of the charity, bringing it to life for the customers and team
- To support the manager to drive sales to maximise shop income and achieve sales targets
- To manage online sales across our ecommerce platforms including, Ebay and Depop. We also use WBB and VCC to help us bring in additional funds.
- To attract, recruit and develop volunteers so they can be the best they can be.
- To lead, motivate and influence volunteers to deliver excellent customer service and store presentation standards.
- To support the manager in ensuring that the shop is adequately staffed at all times and establish appropriate rotas for staff and volunteers.
- To complete regular reports to Head Office on the performance of the shop and its staff.
- To ensure that all appropriate standards of security and health and safety are met.
- To ensure that the shop premises are clean and tidy at all times and that goods are displayed in an attractive and presentable manner.
- To act as keyholder; to open and close the shop for agreed trading hours and ensure that the premises are secure on leaving.
- To respond to emergency call out if and when necessary.
- To ensure that all company administrative and financial procedures are followed including banking, cash register reconciliation, weekly returns and volunteer records.
- To ensure that staff and volunteers are aware of and comply with company policies.
- Some flexibility in the working hours will be required from time to time and the postholder may be required to provide cover at other shops. The postholder will be expected to travel for training purposes.
- Any other duties which are consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the post.
This position is 3 days a week including weekends.
