Job Title: Stock Management Assistant
Trust Location: Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust
Location: Trafford General Hospital – M41 5SL
Shifts: Monday to Friday 08.00 - 16.00 (37.5 hours per week)
Payrate: Band 3 - £12.45 per hour plus enhanced pay for weekends and bank holidays

We have an ongoing placement available for a Scan4Safety Stock Management Assistant at Trafford General Hospital. You will be managing the day-to-day inventory management of specific areas within the Trust. You will be ensuring that a timely and effecting top up stock system is kept and maintained. This is a great role for those who have a lot of experience in a warehouse, procurement or retail setting and have worked within goods-in, stock ordering, tracking and inventory controlling. Excellent customer service skills are also highly advantageous in this role.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
· To implement and maintain service standards across key departments and wards, undertaking the day-to-day ordering activity on behalf of the customer, in line with agreed protocols.
· To be responsible for ensuring that customer’s requirements are always met in the most costeffective way possible, ensuring continuity of supplies.
· Regular customer contact to ensure stock levels and the range of products held are regularly reviewed, reflect activity, and are updated in agreement with the customer.
· Receive, check, and put away all deliveries. Ensuring that items are rotated, stored in the correct location and the store areas are left tidy.
· Keep all associated paperwork regularly updated in line with code and location changes.
· To adhere to departmental and trust operating procedures which apply to this post, being responsible for ensuring that work undertaken meets the needs of the end user.
· Make recommendations for the rationalisation of product ranges to ward leads.
· To undertake any other duties as may be required by the S4S Programme.
To be considered for this role:
· Excellent customer service, organisation, and communication skills.
· Full training will be given in this role, although previous experience in a warehouse or in retail setting would be highly advantageous.
· Physically able to work long hours on your feet.
· English and Maths qualifications desirable (GCSE or above).
· Ability to quickly learn the role and work at pace.
