Cavells Goods In/Stock Assistant

What’s in the role and what are we looking for?
We are looking for a full time, well organised and self-motivated individual to manage the goods-in process and facilitate stock management of the Store, working closely with the Back-office manager. The main aim is to ensure the swift and accurate stock processing and handling of all stock to maximise sales opportunity on the shop floor. This is a physical role and on a daily basis, you will need to be mobile for periods of time.
What are the key responsibilities & duties of this role?
Stock Processing:
· Booking in of new stock: Receive deliveries and book into our systems with the utmost accuracy.
· Quality Control: Examine all deliveries for damage/faults during the checking in process.
· Ensure that stock is fully prepared for sale and made available to the shop floor (and/or web) as soon as possible after delivery.
· Preparing stock to be moved between retail sites/locations.
· Assist with processing of seasonal stock swaps.
· Goods In administration; this must be kept on top of throughout the day to ensure paperwork is always in order and accurate.
· General housekeeping in the Goods In area and stock rooms to keep these areas clean, tidy and organised with easy access to products and disposing appropriately of empty boxes.
· Liaising with suppliers regarding deliveries/credit notes etc…
· Topping up/ reordering stock from existing suppliers determined by the buying team.
Returns: Assist Back-office Manager with Supplier and Customer Returns, ensuring the appropriate Returns procedure is followed.
Websales: You will be responsible for the picking, packing and dispatching of daily web orders for the business and liaising with delivery providers to ensure customer needs are met.
Stock Take: Liaise with other stock assistants regarding co-ordinating rolling stock take of goods.

· Competent with computers and willing to engage with technology.

· Open to change and challenge the norm, finding better ways of working or better utilisation of process/technology.
· Flexible, wanting to help others.
· Compliance with health & safety for example manual lifting techniques (training will be provided).
· Previous experience in a similar role/setting is desirable.
Salary Range: £21,661.25 pa commensurate with skills and experience.
Contract: This is a permanent full-time role based in the Oakham Store, Rutland LE15 6EA. Working 38.75 hours a week, 5 days between Monday to Friday. You must be eligible to live and work in the UK and at LE15 6EA.
