Job description
The Chelsea Harbour Hotel is seeking an experienced Reservations Agent who will be responsible to process incoming reservations and to maximize room revenue.
As Reservations Agent your key responsibilities include:
- To take booking via telephone, letter or fax entering the correct details into the computer system.
- Update reservations where necessary – either amendments or cancellations.
- To ensure that all bookers are aware of the hotel policy concerning credit and release times
- To assist the controlling of business mix and room rates as instructed by Manager/Head of Department.
- Maintain filing system containing all correspondence relating to all reservations taken
- Ensure procedures are carried out to support best practice for our M&E office
- Effectively communicate with reception concerning special request booking or last minute charges.
As Reservation Agent, the essential skills required:
- Having a strong understanding of Opera system
- Experience in managing both individuals and groups enquiries
- As the hotel’s level of business varies considerably, there is a need for flexibility in attitude, approach and working hours.
- Possess a good command of the English language (spoken and written), excellent phone etiquette and communication skills, customer service orientated, computer literate.
