Business Development Advisor

37 hours per week permanent position to commence as soon as possible (to be based at South West Durham Training)

Grade: Fixed point 33 (£32,147.43 per annum)

Bishop Auckland College is seeking to recruit a Business Development Advisor who will be responsible for sales and marketing of all products and services. Supporting business development/ new initiatives and the engagement of employers to meet contractual obligation.

As a Business Development Advisor, you will be responsible for meeting the Employment Services income targets by promoting and marketing the full training offer to the business community. You will promote workforce development/training to companies within the North East region and beyond; by means of face to face appointments, telephone and direct-mail. You will also be responsible for acting as the account manager for customers, which will include the continual monitoring of the relationship and ensuring that a proactive approach is taken on all matters relating to the delivery of provision.

The successful candidate will be required to possess a minimum of 5 GCSE passes at Grade C or above (or equivalent). It is desirable that the candidate will also possess NVQ in Sales and an Information, Advice and Guidance qualification.

Applicants will also have experience of building good working relationships with customers.

This role will include responsibilities within safeguarding and the postholder will be engaging in regulated activity.
