Grand Central is an open-access train operator linking the North East and West Yorkshire with London. We are also part of Arriva who have a large and diverse portfolio of train and bus operating companies in the UK and Europe.
Contract; this position covers a variety of shifts across a 7 day period, so flexibility is essential for the role.
What will I be doing as a Station Coordinator?
Provide a high level of customer service at all times concerning Grand Central, First Hull Trains and LUMO at Kings Cross Station
Deliver product and service specifications consistently in all areas to meet customer expectations
Maintain a safe and tidy work environment
Strong communication whilst assisting both staff and customers
Ensure timely attendance to trains of suppliers and contractors in order delivery of service specifications are undertaken
Liaise with the Station Facility Owner and other Train operators to ensure a safe and comfortable station environment for Open Access customer
Be first point of contact during service changes
Alongside this you will be required to take ownership of your surrounding area within the station, according to health and safety rules, by identifying, locating and where possible rectifying any equipment faults.
What will I need to be successful as a Station Coordinator?
Strong ability to work well and safely under pressure is essential for the role- Ability to operate various I.T systems
- Strong team worker with a customer focus
- Although not essential it would be beneficial to have experience working within the railway
This role will suit someone who loves interacting with a variety of different people on a day to day basis, and someone who thrives off the challenge of unexpected events.
