An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Staff Nurse to join the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Team.
We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic and committed to the provision of excellence in cystic fibrosis care and who wants to develop their skills and knowledge in this field.
The successful candidate will be joining a team that provides high quality individualised care to patients with cystic fibrosis and will need to demonstrate an awareness of how a chronic illness can impact on an individual, their family or carers and have an understanding of the challenges this may bring. The cystic fibrosis unit is a 12 bedded inpatient ward and you will be part of a strong, supportive ward-based multidisciplinary team who focus on educating patients on their self-management; therefore excellent communication skills are required.
You will have the opportunity to develop your nursing practice and skills in respiratory medicine including, chest drain management, oxygen therapy, non-invasive ventilation and venepuncture.
