Staff Nurse (Windsor Dialysis) - Band 5 - (Full time post to include 5% fringe payment) An exciting opportunity has come up to work in Windsor Haemodialysis Unit, this is a 24 bedded satellite unit of the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking for motivated and highly enthusiastic individuals to become part of our team. The successful candidate will undertake a programme of in-house training underpinned by continued support of both personal and professional development. The unit is open Monday to Saturday with no night duty. Informal visits to the unit are highly recommended The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest District General Hospitals in the country. The hospital achieved Foundation Trust status on 1st June 2006. It was the first Foundation Trust in the South Central Strategic Health Authority. The Trust has a successful track record of delivering high quality acute medical and surgical services for 500,000 patients across West Berkshire, an area extending from Newbury in the west to Henley-on-Thames in the east, and including Wokingham and parts of Hampshire to the south and parts of Oxfordshire to the north. The post-holder is responsible for undertaking and recording a comprehensive nursing assessment and planning, delivering, and evaluating high standards of evidenced based nursing care to a diverse group of patients. Is expected to deliver care without direct supervision. Is accountable for the care delivered and any omissions of care. Is expected to teach and supervise more junior staff, students, and the non-registered nursing workforce. Is accountable for care or any omissions of care that he/she delegates to others. Is expected to act as role model, delivering care with empathy and compassion as part of a multidisciplinary team.
