Job description

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivating Sports Coach for September 2023. This is a part time post working afternoon from 12.30-16.30, five days a week, salary range £9670 to £15086.

It would be possible for the successful person to also be appointed as a Level 2 Teaching Assistant mornings only from 8:45am to 12:00pm five day a week, salary range £7652.06 to £7790.67.

The successful person will work alongside the PE/ Sports Lead and SLT.

We are looking for an individual with enthusiasm and drive towards delivering an inspiring PE and brilliant sporting provision outside of school.

The successful candidate will be :-

  • experienced in teaching/ coaching sport to primary age children
  • commitment to promote healthy lifestyles
  • able to inspire, motivate, support and challenge, whilst being approachable and having first class interpersonal skills
  • committed to raising pupil aspiration through physical endeavours
  • coordinate and arrange sporting activities outside of school (working with Northamptonshire Sport)
  • be committed to safeguarding the children in our care
  • willing to take on other responsibilities when requested by Senior Leaders
  • committed to working as a team and embodying the vision of the school and the wider trust.
