Technical Recruitment Lead (Sport Republic)

Role purpose
To lead and drive forward the use of analysis in the recruitment processes across the Sport Republic Group and its three club’s; Southampton, Goztepe and Valenciennes.
What is the role?
- To produce player videos and dossiers on recommended players to a high standard in line with department processes across the group.
- Provide cutting edge tactical insight to support the recruitment of players across the group.
- Analyse footage to agreed criteria and create/maintain a video library of players of interest to the group.
- Extensive research to support the player evaluation process.
- Support the development, growth and training of the video scouting team.
- Brief the scout’s pre-trip and debrief post trip to prepare, research and deliver more efficient scouting at tournaments, festivals and one-off matches with scouting handbooks.
- Attend live matches to follow up on any players identified as directed by the Head of Scouting Operations.
- Keep abreast of all new technology and methodology related to scouting and talent identification.
- Oversee and manage the recruitment analysis staff across the group.
- Provide line management support (1-2-1s, PDR’s and development plans) to your department.
- Create, update and share a video version of the groups game models to use in the recruitment process.
- Help create and review monthly the recruitment analysis budget in cooperation with the Head of Scouting Operations.
What are we looking for?
- Has experience in an elite level football environment.
- Has experience of working in football analysis.
- Sports related degree.
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage staff.
- Experience in using Hudl, Wyscout, Statsbomb, Opta, Transferoom products.
- Meticulous attention to detail and creative presentation skills with experience of creating and delivering presentations.
- Good interpersonal skills – must be a consistent team performer and also have the ability of working independently.
