Job description
- Delivery of all liquid demands in spec for markets and right first time to production plan
- Spirit handling from tankers through to bottling lines, including small batch processing
- Stock management processing in systems to ensure full compliance to HMRC standards. (SAP and DRAMS systems)
- Utilisation of PCS7 to execute spirit movements
- Required flexibility to support shifts and overtime as needed
Responsibilities
- Understand personal and team responsibility under Health and Safety legislation and promote safe working practices within the team.
- Prepare spirit in accordance with company procedures and good practice requirements.
- Liaise with the laboratory to ensure spirit quality.
- Complete spirit testing as required.
- Communicate with Bulk Planning Department regarding plans for tanker movements, vat allocation and filter changeovers.
- Supply the correct spirit to the correct production line in accordance with the production plan.
- Spirit supply system - Ensure all data is recorded into SAP, Drams & EMCS accurately for tanker unloading, spirit reduction, filtration and VAT transfers. Responsible to ensure all physical stocks are aligned with systems status.
- Monitor vat levels and production output to ensure a continuous supply
- Carry out spirit changeovers quickly and efficiently, as required by the production plan.
- Inform Shift Lead and carry out relevant actions to any incident report raised.
- Ensure that there is a sufficient stock of demineralised water, and to report any problems with the plant to the Manufacturing Team Leader/Cell Leaders.
- Prepare spirit caramel for colouring.
- Ensure there are sufficient supplies of consumables e.g. Filters (Sheets & Cartridges), Colour (Caramel IBC’s) + Chemicals (Acid & Caustic).
- To receipt/offload and load/export tankers and complete all HMRC paperwork and system processing
- Comply with HMRC requirements and legislation and ensure that any discrepancies are monitored and reported immediately.
- To support other areas and sites when business dictates (Driving License essential)
- FLT license desirable
- Ensure that all working environments associated with the Spirit preparation area are kept clean and tidy in accordance with 5s requirements
- Ensure all associated plant equipment is functioning as required and report any malfunctions.
- Assist in the ongoing training and development of all team members and carry out any reasonable request that will further improve the performance of the team.
Skills and Experience
- Experience in comparable position in FMCG company; spirit or beverage industry preferred
- Experience as a multi-disciplined team member
- Exposure to safety-critical operations
- Basic understanding of mechanical equipment and knowledge, preferably PCS7
- ERP systems knowledge, preferably SAP, DRAMS and EMCS
- Comfortable and capable of spirit reduction, colouring and conversion from bulk to LA
- Detailed focused with attention to detail
- Ability to comprehend production schedules and ensure that liquid is available as planned.
- Ability to work independently under pressure and to work on own initiative
- Results-oriented: Demonstrates commitment, determination, motivation, energy and accountability
- Facilitates team working, supports and encourages others. Effective collaborator and communicator with Bacardi support groups. Good team facilitator with ability to work with other functions.
