Under the direction of the Web Development Manager, the Graphic Designer is responsible for managing artwork and formatting for digital and print material. This individual is responsible to work with appropriate managers and head office staff to take verbiage and ideas into consideration for generating the visual side of new and updating existing documents, all with the goal of presenting the First Canadian Financial Group in a professional manner.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Creation & maintenance of artwork for corporate documents and printed point of sale materials, including: printed promotional materials, digital advertising, brochures, banners, posters, stickers, chemical display elements, booklets, training materials, infographics, social media images.
- Color correction of images for printing purposes.
- Creating digital marketing content to be used in external online platforms.
- Corporate branding / logo creation.
- Primary liaison between external graphic designers and print agencies to ensure materials created adhere to corporate brand identity guidelines.
- Creation of PDF documents for optimized web use and programming.
- Maintaining and updating current visual communication materials library.
- Employees may work remotely on a permanent or temporary basis.
- Provide UI/UX guidance, support and best practices to development team and stakeholders.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Post secondary education in Graphic Design or other related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in Graphic Design in the insurance industry is preferred.
- 1-2 years of marketing experience with point of sale and promotional materials, digital advertising, and social media.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Tools including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat and XD.
- Proven ability to be organized and manage time effectively.
- Basic/Intermediate/Advanced skill with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
- Fluent in English with proven skills in verbal and written communication.
