We have several Speech and Language Therapy Assistant posts available, both full and part time,within our innovative and dynamic team.These exciting posts will be working directly with children and young people who present with a variety of communication difficulties, in schools, nurseries and clinical settings.This will include demonstration and coaching sessions to parents and support staff. Supervision, support and training will be provided by a team of Speech and Language Therapists.
This rare opportunity will allow you to support children and young people reach their communication potential, whilst developing the skills of parents and other professionals.
You will be working under the direction of registered Speech and Language Therapists and be responsible for the organisation and planning of activities, booking appointments and arranging time-tables.
You will assist in the preparation of resources, demonstration and delivery of delegated programmes of intervention.
You will be expected to input into specific databases, complete observations, gather information and maintain records in line with Health Board and Departmental standards
You will use knowledge and experience of developmental speech, language and communication disorders to feedback to the Speech and Language Therapist progress made against goals.
You will be required to travel between bases and community venues with equipment in a timely manner.
