As the UK’s leading charitable provider of specialist mental healthcare, St Andrew’s is unlike traditional independent providers. With no shareholders, we can reinvest any surplus into growing our specialist services, building state-of-the-art facilities, developing our staff and providing truly individual care.
We deliver complex mental health assessments and treatment to young people with complex mental health needs, including ASD and learning disabilities. These young people have challenging behaviours presenting risks to themselves or others and require management in a secure mental health resource.
Working as part of an expert multidisciplinary team you will deliver high quality specialist care. Ideally, you will be used to working in a child and adolescent setting; you will demonstrate your commitment to patient well-being and recovery, pioneering new approaches to clinical practice .Many of our patients exhibit challenging behaviour, and you must be prepared to assess and treat physical health problems as well as acute and chronic mental health conditions.
You will join one of the largest specialist mental health sites in the UK and join a team of over 30 other Consultant Psychiatrists and 8 Clinical Directors / Medical Directors based at our Northampton site, providing support for you early in your psychiatry career and with opportunities to progress and develop your skills.
We want you to help shape the future of innovative holistic services based around specialised patient pathways. We are also committed to your professional development and have a comprehensive programme of training and CPD events with an extensive range of online training available as well.
