Our safe house is proud to be a leader in its field and an employer of choice with leading edge systems for supervision, quality management and development. You will be working with vulnerable women who may be fleeing violence, at risk of abuse or survivors of domestic violence including those at the point of crisis. You will conduct key work sessions on a regular basis and support the women in assessing and managing risk to themselves and their children’s safety. You will assist survivors in ensuring they are aware of their legal rights to protection and have access to the appropriate benefits such as housing.

We follow the ethos of Positive Behaviour Support, engaging individuals in active support and focussing on community participation. You will have experience in working with people with learning disabilities and mental health support needs and have previously demonstrated strong key worker skills with proven ability to undertake the duties outline below.

  • Completing and reviewing person centred support plans
  • Completing and reviewing risk assessments, including positive risk-taking interventions
  • Holding person centred reviews – including the monitoring and reviewing of people’s individual goals and evidencing outcomes
  • Monthly key worker reports to reflect progress of goals and the delivery of person centred support
  • Working alongside the Positive Behaviour Support Lead to review PBS plan and interventions
  • Supporting people to maintain their independence and wellbeing, as well as accessing community activities, offering personal care and support with daily living tasks

As a requirement of the role you will be working on a rota basis weekends, early mornings, afternoon shifts, nights and sleep ins.

Knowledge of the client group is required but this could have been gained at college or university. This isn’t just any job.
