We are seeking a highly motivated Band 6 Health Visitor to join our team and make a difference in the lives of families in our community.
This is a Fixed Term, Part Time role with Agenda for Change terms and conditions.
As a Band 6 Health Visitor, specialising in the care of Refugee and Asylum Seeker families, you will be working specifically within the South Ribble team and be responsible for the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme to children residing within the refugee and asylum seeker community.
Main ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include but are not limited to:
- To deliver individualised care and support to refugees and asylum seeker community.
- To assist in developing and monitoring the quality of Health Visiting practice to support the provision of a first-class service, by contributing to the development and review of quality and outcome measures and performance indicators
- To identify and assess health, growth and development in babies and children and to advise and refer appropriately
- Provide effective skilled communication of sensitive issues, counselling, and reassurance to
- Identify areas for audit and development relevant to asylum seekers and refugees participate in research and clinical audit programmes as required.
We are looking for a qualified Health Visitor with a SCPHN (specialist community public health nursing) qualification and be passionate about ensuring all families in your local community receive the highest level of care and have access to the relevant paths of support. Specialist knowledge and experience in relation to asylum seekers and refugees is required.
A full UK driving licence is required for this role and access to a vehicle.
