Curry or Tandoori Chef The PositionSpecialist ChefStatusMust have the right to legally work in the United Kingdom* We do not provide Visas, we employ local talent only *Who we arePatri is an Artisan Street Food and Drinks operator with sites in West London.With two trendy sites in Northfields and Hammersmith, we are proud to be the Street Food Restaurant of the Year at the London Curry Awards 2019 and London's top 10 Diners Choice Indian Restaurant on Opentable.The person we needWe are looking for a knowledgeable, energetic and passionate tandoor chef with plenty of experience running a high volume and fast-paced kitchen, without breaking a sweat, to join our stunning Northfields venue.Our customers and our staff are our greatest assets so we need someone who loves people and knows how to make soft fluffy naan bread, traditional tandoori tikkas, and kebabs.Your role as a Tandoor Chef will be fast-paced, energetic and fun. Willingness to learn and a full skills trial before employment is required for this position.Supporting the Head Chef in a busy hotel kitchen delivering consistently high-quality authentic Indian street food, chaats, and curries.Daily Job Responsibilities- Prepare and cook full course meals; Lunch and Dinner Service.- Plan menus; season variations and costings- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerance;- Inspect kitchens and food service areas; HACCP compliance.- Order supplies and equipment;- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment;- Work with specialized cooking equipment (tandoor and deep fryer, etc.);- Clean kitchen and work areas;- Organize and manage stock areas, inventory checks, and labelling.Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as either a CurryCook or a Tandoori Cook and have specialized in East/South or North Indian cuisine.Some secondary school required - completion of secondary school is an asset, but not a requirement.The ideal candidate must be reliable and able to work with minimal supervision and have a passion for cooking** The applicant must be based in London and ready to start within 2 weeks ***** Right to work legally in the UK is mandatory ****** Full Trial with 4-5 Classic Dishes will be required during the interview including1.
