At a glance: Contract Type - This is a permanent position Salary Range: £24,000 - £33,300 Working Pattern - 5/7 days rotated shifts, 1/4 weekends. Shift times - 07.30- 15:00 & 11:00 - 19:00 About the role: Are you looking for the next step in your career, or are you an established sous chef? We are ready to welcome a passionate Sous Chef for our Magna Park distribution site. You will be working in our Partner Dining Room kitchen, where your culinary skills can be put to use supporting our head chef and providing a high-quality service to our partners. Join our supportive catering team today and enjoy producing fresh, nutritious homemade meals. You will lead the team daily with a hands-on approach. Responsibilities include: The Sous Chef to act as head chef when absent. Be responsible for planning, organising and control of the day to day operation. Supervising the team, allocating tasks and responsibilities. Supervising all food preparation and production in the kitchen. Being extremely hands on and having a passion for cooking fresh food. Monitoring the temperature, quality and portion sizes of all food served from the kitchen. Ensuring good communication throughout the kitchen department at all times. High standards of cleanliness, stock control and task prioritisation. Aspiring the team to strive for high standards of food quality, cleanliness and customer service. Essential skills you’ll need: Food safety level 1, Health & Safety level 1 NVQ level 1 and 2 Experience of working within a customer service based environment Experience of working within a catering environment What else can you bring?
