Swansea Arena are looking for a Sous Chef to work as part of the kitchen team, reporting to the Kitchen Manager/Head Chef and the rest of the brigade. The focus of the role will involve all aspects within the kitchen department where you will help support the kitchen team by preparing and cooking good quality food, as well as maintaining the structure and cleanliness in our busy programme of live music, comedy, theatre, conferences, and events.
With 100 performances a year, plus conferences, events and exhibitions – this is a fantastic opportunity to work in an exciting and team led environment, helping to create an unforgettable customer experience in a 3500 capacity venue.
The successful candidates will have experience operating various kitchen equipment, be reliable and enthusiastic about developing skills, and be able to remain calm under pressure! Shifts within live entertainment can be fast paced and varied, so a flexible and positive attitude with strong stamina and a proactive mindset are essential attributes for all members of the team.
Applications will be reviewed on a regular basis and suitable candidates will be invited for an interview in person. A cooking trial will be required for you to create a dish of your own, either a starter, main or dessert, to demonstrate your ability, creativity, and knowledge of food overall.
