About the Opportunity
The primary purpose of the Data Solutions Manager is to serve as a core contributor for defining, developing, and delivering data solutions for complex issues that improve fundraising strategy and enhance the donor experience. In this collaborative role, the position will engage with other interdepartmental team members to identify problems with data, donor accounts, integrations, reports, and contribution processing.
The Data Solutions Manager will join the newly formed Data Team under the leadership of the Senior Database and Fundraising Systems Manager within the Integrated Fundraising Department. This position will learn and facilitate the routine reporting and donor data needs, to execute and monitor the accuracy of all requested data processing (including donor data pulls, vendor file creation, report generation and distribution). This role will also collaborate with other CRM support team members to execute projects and needs derived from their work and ongoing CRM projects.
It is crucial for the person in this role to have a strong attention to detail to ensure that data integrity is managed within the organization's CRM. This role will manage the technical and data needs for contribution processing, including but not limited to sustainer management, troubleshooting processing errors or issues, and serving as a key support person for contribution or import issues and functionality.
This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement, consistent with System Office policy. UNC System employees are generally required to reside in North Carolina, within a 2-hour commuting distance of their assigned duty station.

About the Team
PBS North Carolina’s Growth Division is to expand and diversify revenue sources to drive sustainable growth for the organization. The division accomplishes this by generating solicitations and campaigns based in both emotion and intelligence, heart and data. The Growth Division is responsible for generating over $13 million in revenue.
Minimum Education, Experience, and Skills
High school diploma or equivalency and one year of experience in the field of technology related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Required Qualifications, Competencies and Experience
Database: familiar with relational databases and the use of SQL to generate ad hoc reports and data needs.
Problem solving: recognizes, defines, and resolves problems and issues that are expected or unexpected. Ability to approach problem-solving discussions with an open-mind and determine the best approach for resolution.
Technology: seeks to understand the framework of technology used in the Growth division, finds resources to answer complex technical questions, and continues to expand current technological skill set to meet the needs of the department.
Collaboration: ability to build productive relationships, partake in cross-functional discussions, and embrace new mindsets in a changing environment.
Planning and Organizing: Ability to organize and follow complex and/or detailed technical procedures.
Technical Support: Capable of resolving routine problems based on existing documentation/training/resources.
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills
Associate Degree or Bachelor's degree and at least two (2) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of experience/education in data management, data analysis, or other data administration functions. Can demonstrate success in data management and complex queries. Previous experience, and knowledge of the Tessitura platform a plus.
