The shift pattern for this post is Tuesday - Thursday
The overall aim of the eHealth Directorate is to deliver and maintain a comprehensive integrated information, technology and record management strategy in order to ensure that the right information is provided in the right place at the right time, to support highest possible levels of diagnosis, treatment and care of patients and clients, to support continuous improvement of the health of the populations we serve and to achieve more effective integration between Health and the care services of our Local Authority partners. You will work as part of the multidisciplinary team to support effective clinical care by providing efficient administrative, clerical and receptionist services within the acute adult and children’s wards. You will welcome patients, relatives and visitors via the door entry buzzer system (where available) directing them to ward bedrooms ensuring that security, health and safety and infection control measures are understood and adhered to and answer ward telephone calls taking/relaying messages for multidisciplinary team members. You will provide information concerning the condition of patients to relatives as directed by nursing staff and ensure reception/clerical staff base and waiting areas are maintained in a presentable manner [cleaning of PC’s, telephones and case note trolley. Knowledge required to undertake the role will be established through relevant in-house training relating to processes and procedures, TrakCare patient information system and stock ordering system with expectation of performing at a fully competent level within a specific time period (tbc). You should have previous clerical/reception experience and previous experience of working with the general public in a customer service environment.
