About Schroders Solutions
Schroders Solutions provides investment solutions to institutional clients in the UK and beyond. Solutions consists of two organisational groups in the UK: Solutions Investments and Client Solutions.
Solutions Investments consists of a range of investment desks that design and implement investment strategies for Schroders Solutions' institutional clients. The investment desks consist of Liability Driven Investment (LDI), Advanced Bond Beta (ABB), Risk Managed Investments (RMI) that work together to deliver pooled funds and strategies via segregated portfolios that are specifically designed to satisfy our clients' requirements.
The Client Solutions group provides investment consulting services and advice to our institutional clients via Fiduciary Management and Advisory offerings. In addition, Solutions' clients assets are also invested through Schroders' wider Multi-Asset capabilities.
Schroders Solutions clients include defined benefit pension schemes (corporate and local government), insurers and other large institutions.
The base
We moved into our new HQ in the City of London in 2018. We're close to our clients, in the heart of the UK's financial centre. And we have everything we need to work flexibly.
What you'll do
You will work as part of the Solutions Delivery Management team (“SDM”). The SDM team is part of Solutions Investments, based at Schroders' 1 London Wall Place HQ.
The SDM team consists of a group of highly capable individuals who co-ordinate the delivery of the investment solutions for our clients and are critical to capturing mandate information. Your day to day activities include:
- Working closely with Solution Managers to capture and maintain client mandate data in systems, including any changes and updates to such data
- Co-ordinate with wider teams such as Client Group, Global Operations, Finance, Risk and other departments on a variety of regular and ad-hoc activities
- Interact and co-ordinate with multiple investment desks across Solutions' client base in relation to their mandate change activities
- Produce or assist in production of desk based reporting (internal or external)
- Capture investment activity related meta data and data for management information purposes
- Undertake analysis, preparation and presentation of management information, ad-hoc analysis and keep presentational materials up to date
- Support Solution Managers, Portfolio Managers, Traders and other teams within Solution Investments
- Co-ordinate on specific centralised projects and/or ad-hoc activities that impact across multiple clients.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables across own workload and supporting your colleagues
- Care and diligence in reviewing and overseeing data driven processes
- Strong data management and analysis skills
- Be able to work well with diverse stakeholders
- Familiarity with derivative legal documents and management of mandate related data
- The desire to make the way we do things more robust, scalable and efficient.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help
- Fixed Income, Liability Driven Investment and/or Equity Derivatives experience
- Formal investment qualifications
- Some experience in working with external parties, clients or their professional advisors
- Some knowledge of control environments
- Some understanding of investment processes, particularly those in relation to derivative instruments and defined benefit pension schemes.
