About this opportunity
You'll be part of our cross-disciplinary feature team in addition to being a highly valued member of our Consumer Relationships Engineering team. As part of these teams, you'll demonstrate and apply exemplary software engineering practices and skills, whilst working in a collaborative and agile environment.
- Deliver business value by delivering reliable, scalable, and working software to production.
- Ensure platforms and services are built consistently with industry best practice and standards.
- Supporting Product Owners & Platform Leads in identifying, articulating and impact assessing software & infrastructure currency risks or issues, offering options & recommendations on action planning & continuously Evergreening solutions/systems within the Platform.
- Demonstrating industry best practise, frameworks, standards & policies in crafting opportunities & value for our customers.
- Providing analysis of options and deliver end-to-end solution designs using relevant architectural building blocks as well as producing designs for features that enable frequent incremental customer value delivery.
- Promoting adaptive design practises to drive collaboration across Platform teams centring on a common vision with continuous feedback.
What you’ll need
- Experience designing innovative solutions in an increasingly digital world - understanding how modern software applications are built and delivered is key.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively translate sophisticated concepts into easily understandable language supported by good social skills to lead groups and negotiate and build consensus.
- Proven track record of assessing business needs and translating them into relevant solutions.
- Prior experience in a solution architecture position
- Excellent Stakeholder and Relationship management skills.
- Working knowledge of infrastructure and security architecture practices and concerns
- Strong understanding of modern software development practices
And any experience of these would be really useful
- Experience of developing modern applications using Java, React, JS
- Cloud Technologies
- Cloud experience migrating legacy applications; Desired to OCP/GCP
