Initially you will be focused on delivering Software Testing for Airborne Mission Systems, Tactical Mission Systems, and ground-based Synthetic Training Systems. To see more about our synthetic training systems in operation please click here.

What will you be doing
This role involves a range of activities relating to software test at the unit and integration level:

• Support development of software through the development lifecycle according to relevant engineering processes
• Analysing software requirements to convert into test objectives
• Developing test scenarios and environments, creating, and debugging test scripts
• Configuring test rigs and using them to run through test scenarios (manual & automated)
• Manage defect tracking and investigate issues arising in the field or during testing
• Provide estimates for testing and contribute to production of progress metrics
• Produce the required documentation for system testers (reports, test user guides etc).
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to support requirements capture, ensuring an integrated approach to meet cost and schedule targets.
• Any additional Programme related tasks assigned that are within area of expertise, competence, and skill set.

Required skills and experience:

• Experience working within an Agile life cycle (Sprints, Retrospectives, Stand-ups etc)
• Experience in Manual and Automated testing approaches
• Experience of Real-Time Embedded Systems
• Experience interpreting UML designs
