Job description
Salary: £19,443.65 per annum + Salary Supplement up to £10.90 per hour
Hours: 37 hours per week
Location: Swanton Road Depot
We are looking for a Streets and Grounds Operatives to join our street cleansing and grounds maintenance team that focuses on maintaining the standard of streets, parks, open spaces, housing areas and highway verges in the Norwich area.
The job duties of this role include:
- Litter Picking
- Grounds maintenance duties such as hoeing, sweeping, pruning, hedge cutting and grass cutting
- Care and Maintenance to plant, tools and equipment
- Daily cover of all Grade 1 streets duties for vacancies, sickness or holiday
As part of this role the posholder may be required to drive various vehicles, therefore a full UK driving license is essential for this role.
Due to the nature of this role, you will work in multiple locations in Norwich and will come into contact with the general public, therefore customer experience will be beneficial to ensure that we are delivering a quality and efficient service.
This role will require you the postholder to undertake activities such as emptying bins and litter picking therefore demonstrable experience in a physical role will be beneficial.
