Loopla is a growing events platform featuring family events in and around London and with upcoming ticket-selling services.

Our goal is to provide a reliable service at scale to help families find and book events in their local area quickly and easily.

About the role

We have an excellent opportunity for a part-time Manual QA Analyst/Tester who can get involved in all aspects of testing our application on desktop and mobile devices.

You would work alongside the development team, so clear communication and the ability to collaborate well with other team members are important.

Work is 2-3 days' a week with either in-office or a hybrid work role so the right candidate should be able to commute to our office in North London

The role is mainly around ensuring a good end-to-end user experience on the Loopla platform. You will have to understand the functionality, user journeys and acceptance criteria of each item deployed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Testing all new features and changes to the existing codebase to prepare for each release
  • System testing on an ongoing basis to check for errors or bugs not picked up
  • Identify, document and report system bugs
  • Take the initiative to propose improvements to the system and anything that would benefit the user experience
  • Collaborate with the development team and user experience team
  • Be present at the daily stand-ups
  • Use best practices with QA
  • Helping to implement greater test coverage
  • Helping to integrate methods for more reliable deployments

Experience required

  • 3+ years of software testing experience
  • Experience working alongside software engineering teams
  • Good understanding of the software development lifecycle from design to deploy
  • Experience testing both web and mobile applications
  • Have good problem-solving skills
  • A good level of English language is required

Bonus points if you have the following

  • Understanding of tech stacks like PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
  • API testing experience
  • Experience working within Scrum methodology
  • Experience using Jira
  • Experience with end-to-end testing such as Cypress
