The Role
We are seeking an experienced, motivated individual to join our company as an Information Technology Manager. As part of our technology team, you will assess the existing systems and infrastructure of the organization to form a high-level view of both present capabilities and future opportunities for upgrade and improvement. You'll deliver reports on IT systems and improvement opportunities to key leadership and stakeholders, making recommendations and creating a detailed roadmap for successful implementation. Our ideal candidate has prior managerial experience with comprehensive knowledge of corporate IT systems and processes, and superb organizational and communication skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Survey existing technology infrastructure and systems to form high-level view of present capabilities and future opportunities for improvements
- Thorough documentation of the existing and new applications and IT Processes
- Present detailed reports to leadership and stakeholders, including recommendations to seize opportunities for technological improvement
- Ensure that all IT systems and processes are arranged best to support overall organizational objectives
- Head implementation teams during upgrade and technology migration projects, liaising with affected departments to ensure usability and functionality
- Perform system analysis of software programs, applications, and web services
- Efficiently integrate new systems, programs, and applications with business operations and services.
- Analyze and improve the performance of web-based customer portals and support services.
- Ensure end-user proficiency with new systems, programs, and applications across departments.
- Ensure that computer hardware remains compatible with system enhancements and updates.
- Promote system efficiency and security by integrating performance metrics and encryption.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related technical experience
- 5+ years of professional experience in similar role and managing tech professionals
- Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure and services.
- Ability to implement best practice, improved current systems and optimize workflows
- Advanced Knowledge of software development life cycle and experience working in Agile environment.
- Exceptional organizational and communication abilities, including presentation skills
- Advanced knowledge of data security and encryption
- Ability to keep up with IT advancements
- Local travel might be required
- Experience in Software development and QA/testing is considered an asset
- Experience in Software project management is considered an asset
This is an in office role at our Head Office in Kelowna. Successful candidates will be in office daily.
