Apple's CI Technologies organization is seeking a high-energy and detail oriented individual who will have profound impact on rapid delivery and quality of Apple's operating systems. We need a skilled engineer to develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and infrastructure. The nature of the position requires you to possess excellent analytical skills, strong interpersonal skills, and a drive to make a difference. Key Qualifications

  • Experience in Swift software development
  • Experience working on mobile automation, app development, or iOS development.
  • Knowledge of XCTest/XCode
  • Understanding of software testing methodologies
  • Proficient in a distributed version-control system (Git)
  • Ability to collaborate with partner teams, excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiar with Continuous Integration and software build processes

Description

The CI Technologies team is responsible for contributing to technical design and implementation of critical systems in Apple’s CI platform. You will design and develop scalable and reusable client frameworks for all levels of the platform infrastructure. You will lead technology initiatives that drive scalability and reliability, and you will need to quickly learn and utilize knowledge of various automation systems and Operating System features. As a member of the team, you will be contributing to two primary areas: test libraries and test infrastructure. Test libraries serve as the building blocks of tests, and are used by QA, test engineers, and other automation teams throughout Software Engineering. You’ll develop and maintain common functionally like task execution, device interactions, and log collection. The challenge is to ensure that our libraries stay compatible on released and future in-development hardware and software. In addition, as the demand of testing continues to increase across Software at Apple, you’ll help us explore exciting solutions that allow us to scale our test infrastructure to meet those needs. This includes infrastructure to support testing on devices located in data centers around the world, and scaling through device virtualization.

Education & Experience

BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
