Your role

Do you want to design and build next generation business applications using the latest technologies? Are you self-assured at iteratively refining user requirements and removing any ambiguity? Do you have a curious nature, always interested in how to innovate? If so, we’re looking for software engineers to:

  • work as part of an agile development team and collaborate with global business and technology teams
  • design and implement technology solutions that will solve business problems and strengthen our position as digital pioneers in the financial services
  • write high quality code, adhering to coding standards, across full delivery cycle ensuring quality delivery
  • conduct code reviews and test software as needed, along with participating in application architecture and design
  • see that proper operational controls and procedures are implemented to process move from test to production

Your team

You’ll be working in the Credit Risk IT team in London. Part of the larger Chief Digital and Information Office (CDIO) Group Functions organization at UBS, Credit Risk IT team delivers high-quality and innovative solutions that support business partners in achieving their operational goals. Your expertise

  • working experience in one or more programming languages: Java 8+ (Mandatory), Python (Optional)
  • React JS for Building Modern UI’s
  • cloud technologies and patterns
  • experience in Containers, Kubernetes
  • agile Software delivery Methodology (Scrum, XP, Kanban, etc.)
  • strong understanding of the software development lifecycle
  • understanding of dev ops tools and engineering practices using micro-services, ci/cd pipeline and test automation
  • interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to work as part of a global team
  • passion for learning and innovation
  • keen interest in understanding how the business works
  • building and optimizing ‘big data’ data pipelines, architectures and data sets
  • experience in working in large global teams, especially for high-performance, large-scale systems through various project lifecycle stages like design, build, testing etc.
  • bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
