This is a mainly a home based role, however, you should occasionally expect to be able to travel to our office based in Sheffield on a regular basis. There is also an option to work from our offices if you prefer this to home based work.

Essential duties and responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications for the SaaS platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to deliver high-quality software products
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code PHP Laravel framework
- Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to other engineers
- Troubleshoot and debug issues in production systems
- Develop and maintain documentation for software systems
- Keep up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software engineering
Knowledge, skills and abilities
- Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices.
- PHP framework experience
- Proficient in PHP programming language and Laravel framework
- Knowledge of database technologies, such as SQL and NoSQL
- Understanding of software design patterns and architectures
- Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient PHP Laravel code
- Experience with agile software development methodologies
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and programming languages
- Ability to take ownership of PHP Laravel projects and deliverables
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
