Job Purpose:

To own and be responsible for feature definition & ownership, Component ownership and delivery responsible for electrical components. These include amplifier, speakers, sub woofers, tweeters, microphones for multiple platforms at different levels (e.g. base, premium and Halo systems.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Support with defining targets for future models.
• Engineer parts to cost, time and weight targets including developing commodity timing plans to support delivery of ‘Mission’ milestone actions.
• Produce and control supporting design documentation to demonstrate robust development process. To include Design Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, Design Verification Plans, Engineering Release, Concern Resolution and sign-off reports.
• Support vehicle build and launch activities. Investigate, contain and resolve issues as they arise.
• Manage the Bill of Materials for your components
• Project manage the suppliers in order to ensure your deliverables are met
• Conduct Aston Martin whole vehicle testing for your systems and features both within & outside of the UK with a focus on customer acceptance.
• Support prototype build and test vehicle preparation.
• Work with a cross functional team to ensure that all stakeholders deliver the support required to deliver your systems on time and to budget.

Qualification & Experience:

• CAN tools – CANoE
• Understanding of electronics/software and hardware design
• Data analysis & report writing
• Knowledge of automotive development systems e.g. releasing
• Supplier management experience
• Complete knowledge of Product Development cycle from concept to launch completion
• Excellent technical engineering background and a comprehensive knowledge of using calculation and analysis to drive design.
• Good knowledge of automotive quality tools and processes.
• Good knowledge of the manufacturing processes to create the components or systems
• Electrical Engineering degree

• Competent in Microsoft Office toolset.

• Analytical
• Microsoft project experience is desirable
• Financial management skills
• Must be able to project manage and work collaboratively with a cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of Can and CAN based tools
