A fantastic opportunity has become available to join the Digital team as a Software Developer for our business mobile banking application.
The ideal candidate will help the programme to move from existing mobile app to a new mobile technology stack and architecture supported by a cloud-based microservices API architecture.
As a key member of the team, you'll be involved in design, implementation, testing, deployment and post-release support in an agile development environment.
The difference you’ll make.
- Developing Technical user stories working individually or pairing with a colleague.
- Discussing functional and technical solutions with different stakeholders in the business, UX designers, architects, and engineering managers to ensure user stories are well refined and understood at the correct level.
- Writing the automated testing required to ensure your stories meet the definition of “Done”.
- Ensuring solutions being delivered are developed using DevSecOps practices following the latest technology trends.
- Keeping the delivered solutions running healthy in production, minimising incidents and maximising quality of service.
What you’ll bring.
- Extensive experience in Application Development using Java Spring Boot and spring cloud.
- Extensive experience working with Business Mobile Application.
- Experience with Spring modules and ORM Tools such as JPA.
- Experience with any of the JavaScript libraries (jQuery, AngularJS).
- Experience with API development (REST).
- Knowledge of continuous Integration and continuous delivery using Maven, Jenkins, Nexus repository manager, Docker, Git, GitHub, OpenShift and Microservices Architecture.
It would also be nice for you to have.
- Experience in both Front end and Backend technologies and willingness to learn and evolve.
- Exposure to DevSecOps eco-system and automation tools to follow Continuous Integration lifecycle.
- Due to the close collaboration required with our Santander Spanish colleagues, Spanish knowledge is a plus.
