We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced individual to join as Responsible Investment Analyst (Private Credit). This senior role will support the analysis and integration of ESG (Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance) issues into the Private Credit investment processes. It will play a vital role in influencing deal teams in Infrastructure debt and Direct Lending to assess the implications of sustainability issues for investment decisions. The individual will also engage with investee companies / projects on the management of ESG issues.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the integration of ESG across private credit investment strategies
  • Support the development and evolution of an appropriate sustainable frameworks for Infrastructure Debt and Direct Lending to help minimize greenwashing risk. Ensure we comply with Group standards and
  • responsible investment regulatory regimes.
  • Supplement work of the investment team with relevant insights, analysis and data on ESG topics relevant to the project/company/asset class
  • Engage at senior level with investee companies / projects to encourage improvement on material ESG issues that seek to enhance shareholder value
  • Produce thought pieces on sustainability topics
  • Support the investment and client teams in dealing with client requests on ESG topics
  • Build effective relationships with key stakeholders across regions and countries to enable integration of ESG factors into investment processes
  • Support other Responsible Investment related activities as required including participation in working groups, presentations etc
Requirements

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Significant subject matter knowledge of environmental, social and governance issues, and emerging trends is essential for this role
  • Experience in sustainability in fixed income and/or private markets is essential
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills is essential
  • Direct operational experience of integration of ESG into investment processes would be desirable
  • Strong writing, analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills including the ability to prioritise and escalate key issues in a timely manner
  • Ability to manage conflict and prioritise based on shareholder benefit
  • Excellent ability to interact at senior levels with key stakeholders including decision makers and senior executives

This is a Hybrid working role with the base location as London. The successful candidate will have to have the ability to commute to this location.
