We are looking for an enthusiastic, adaptable, and eager-to-learn graduate from a range of degree disciplines to join our Information Technology & Digital Services graduate programme as a Software Developer. The scheme aims to provide the successful applicant with a software programming grounding and an introduction into digital solution delivery. Our department serves our entire business – Marketing, Manufacturing, Distribution, R&D, Sales, Customer Service, Operations, Finance, HR; in the UK and for our global companies.
What does a Software Developer do at Numatic?
- Design and develop software, and integrate systems to deliver best in class technical solutions,
- Implement bug fixes and code changes to improve our enterprise applications,
- Document, test and deploy software solutions and changes, and
- Work alongside other areas of the business to build and test strategic solutions.
This role will be based at our Head Office campus in the heart of Somerset, Chard, and you will undertake a tailored 2-year programme. Your time will be primarily focussed on growing your software development skills, and will be also supported by:
- Short placements across the IT and Digital Services department so you gain visibility across the full IT delivery and support lifecycle, and
- Short placements within key areas of the business so that you get an understanding of making, shipping and selling our products, and supporting our customers.
In addition to receiving first class training, we will also provide you with exposure to our senior leaders across the business, providing you with an opportunity to showcase your talents.
