Job description
We are inviting applications for Customer Support Assistants within the Stock & Specialist Services Team for Kent Libraries, Registration & Archives.
Working Monday to Friday, you will be supporting the behind-the-scenes provision of Kent’s library service, showing a commitment to customer service for both internal and external customers.
The successful applicant will receive training to assist with all aspects of the team’s varied and demanding workload, including but not limited to processing and invoicing new library books, aiding distribution to all service points, and providing a postal audiobook service to Kent’s blind and visually impaired residents.
This is a physically demanding role, and will require bending, stretching, reaching, and lifting in line with Health & Safety regulations.
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
