Principal Frontend Engineer

Fully remote - office time twice a quarter

This AI-powered employee engagement platform is looking for an experienced lead to join their team as they have a large project of breaking down their monolith into micro-frontends as well as re-platforming their product onto AWS. With over a million users and counting, they have built a technology-driven organisation reaching people across the world.

As the front-end tech lead, you will own the architecture and big-picture thinking across the platform. You will mentor the front-end engineering team to ensure high-quality, high-performing code. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, architects, and other leads to plan out the technical execution of new products and major features. You will help decompose our monolithic React SPA into multiple micro-frontends and oversee the front-end aspects of our product's re-platforming onto AWS. You will work with the design team and other front-end leads to roll out our in-house component library across all our products. You will also develop and maintain coding standards and best practices for front-end development and actively participate in code reviews to improve code quality.

They are looking for a product-focused engineer with exceptional communication skills to lead discussions across the business. The role reports into the company's CTO.

Essential tech stack requirements: React, TypeScript and AWS.

If you have proven excellence in writing readable and efficient TypeScript code, a good track record of project leadership and mentorship of software engineers, and experience working with micro-frontends and associated technologies like federated modules and single-spa, I'd love to hear from you.

Fully remote but must be based in the UK and happy to travel twice a quarter into their offices. Salary plus stock options available.
