We are a part of the B&M retail group and one of the UK’s fastest growing food retailers with over 300 stores. In 2023 we aim to open a further 20 stores together with a busy refit programme. We are really going places and to continue in our progression we need the right people to help us to build on our success.
The Role
We are looking for a new software developer to expand our team of six. This role is ideal for people who are innovative, have an eye for detail, love to learn new technologies and have the desire to design and develop high-quality software and to see the difference that it makes to the business.
Reporting to the Software Development Manager, you will be working in a collaborative, friendly environment with an experienced team. You will be using agile development practises and modern technologies to develop retail operations software to be deployed in a microservice environment in our in-house data centres.
This is a full-time role that is primarily home-based with occasional visits to our head office in Melton, East Yorkshire. You will be provided with all of the necessary computing equipment and software required.
Essential Skills / Experience
- C# and .NET 6 or later
- SQL Server or similar RDBMS
Beneficial Skills / Experience
- Blazor (Server-side and/or WebAssembly)
- RabbitMQ
- Agile development practises
- Knowledge of microservice architecture
What we can offer you:
- A salary of up to circa £38,000 - £40,000.
