Why does this role exist?
We have an exciting opportunity for a Group Quality Administrator to join our Quality & Compliance Team on a permanent basis!
Within the Innovation Group, the Quality & Compliance Team requires administration assistance to maintain and develop its processes and to support the wider business.
BRE operates on annual revenues of £50m, secured through the provision of a complete range of advisory, testing, certification, commissioned research, digital products and training services, covering all aspects of the built environment and associated industries. Globally active, with approximately 600 employees, it has a physical presence in the UK, the Republic of Ireland and China and Innovation Parks (where we showcase the outputs of our innovative industry and academic collaborations) in the UK and China.
The value this role will add:
- Maintaining our licences to trade regarding external approvals from LRQA & UKAS by ensuring the Group Management system is current and up to date. By aiding the Head of Quality & Compliance and the Group Quality Manager to process the queries that come via the BRE Group Quality Mailbox.
- Assist in closing out any internal/external non-conformities.
- Follow up on implementation of proposed corrective actions.
- Assist in maintaining a stable and up to date Group Management System that is readily available for all staff to reference.
- Enabling the bedding in of proposed new automated processes and leading on implementation and training.
- Help maintain the document control registers and manage the document control process and help implement and maintain the new document control process.
- Help prepare for external assessments for both UKAS & LRQA by organising diaries, meeting rooms etc.
- Assist with the feedback resolution process, including complaints, compliments and appeals.
- Taking accurate notes and producing minutes for distribution for high level meetings for the SHEQ team such as Management Review, Impartiality and H&S meetings. Accuracy is a key part of this role.
- Assist with the administration of internal Witnessed assessments undertaken by the Q&C team.
- Provide support to other areas of the Innovation Group including a combined SHEQ function.
- Provide positive support system across the BRE Group.
What skills, knowledge and behaviours does the role need?
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Good IT skills and an open approach to managing change.
- Experience in a quality control/assurance environment with an awareness of ISO 9001 and preferably of UKAS Accreditation standards.
