About us
The North Adult Social Care Team works with people between the ages of 18+ who are eligible for support under the Care Act 2014. We are looking to appoint new staff members who have a genuine passion for improving people’s life by maximising their own and community’s potential. We are a team made up from Occupational Therapists, Social Workers and Coordinators. Over past years, we have built a team that is resilient and creates unique opportunities for professional development across Oxfordshire County Council.
About the role
This post is based in Adult Social Care, within the North locality, covering Banbury and surrounding villages. We are looking for a Social Workers to join our dynamic team who are keen to work collaboratively across Adult Social Care, Health and other partner agencies to achieve great changes in our community. We are proud to support our residents through a strength-based approach that creates opportunities, builds resilience and develops long-term support networks so that people we support can live their lives as successfully, independently and as safely as possible.
The post holder would hold a professional qualification and be registered with Social Work England. Since the team is looking to recruit into several vacancies, we are encouraging applicants at different levels of experience. Support is provided for newly qualified co-workers through our nationally recognised programme, while experienced staff members can take advantage of extensive CPD activities that are available through our learning platforms.
In line with County Council policy, we also offer a relocation package up to a maximum of £8,000 to cover reimbursement of expenses for newly appointed employees who need to move home to take a job with Oxfordshire County Council (conditions apply).
