Position:
Overall Purpose
To lead engaging, informative and fun Guided Tours across London; whether on the Bus, Walking or Private Hires. Provide all customers with exceptional customer service that exceeds expectations and brings the history, traditions and cultural heritage of the city to life.
Overview of Duties & Responsibilities
- To provide customers with entertaining, informative, and accurate guided tours; whether on the Bus, Walking or Private Hires.
- To learn scripts and additional information when needed to guide bespoke and Private Hire tours.
- To ensure you always have the highest possible standard of product knowledge and keep up to date with changes which are implemented throughout the year.
- To ensure you are up to date daily with diversions or issues occurring that affect the service & product.
- To ensure that customers are safely escorted on walking tours and are familiar with/informed of any potential hazards.
- Be prepared to assist our Customer Service Representative’s when required by using a ticket machine to validate customers vouchers when at stops & on the bus. Ad Hoc duties as and when required.
Requirements:
Qualifications & Experience
- Fluency in English and excellent Oral communication skills is essential.
- A sound knowledge of the history, traditions, and cultural heritage of London.
- Previous walking tour experience is an advantage.

- Excellent customer service that meets and exceeds the expectations of a diverse range of customers.
- Confident public speaking, able to clearly communicate and engage with large groups of customers in a public setting.
- Adaptable to the expectations and requirements of unique tours in various conditions & locations.
- Takes ownership of work and strives for continuous improvement.
- Collaboration; working as part of wider team towards a shared goal.
