We are currently seeking a permanent part time Social Worker post (23 hours over 3 days) in the Fieldwork Team at the Integrated Disabled Childrens service. The service supports children and families where there is a child with a moderate to severe Learning Disability. In the Fieldwork Team you will undertake work with children and families at Child In Need, Child Protection and Care Proceedings and support Looked After Children. You may also be required to write section 7 reports for private proceedings and undertake permanency work including Adoption. You will also complete assessments and court applications when applying the Mental Capacity Act where there is a Deprivation of Liberty.
You will be part of an established and supportive team with an experienced Senior Practitioner, have access to regular supervision, peer support and continuing professional development opportunities.
