The Valley Regional Fire Authority (VRFA) is in search of an IT Services Technician who places a high priority on the resilience and maintainability of systems. This technical position acts as the primary point of contact for internal customers seeking technical assistance. POSITION O V E R V I E W
This is a full-time, exempt, non-represented position, where you'll play a vital role as a member of a small team responsible for supporting various technologies across the organization. As an IT Services Technician, you will contribute to the organization's success by providing support and assistance to help achieve its goals and objectives.
Under supervision determined by the Information Technology Manager, this position is responsible for supporting a wide range of technologies.
*Hiring Range: $6,484.11-$7,189.10

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Act as the main contact for help desk customers, aiding in troubleshooting and resolving technology issues.
- Deploy, configure, and administer hardware, software, and assigned systems.
- Create user-friendly instructional documentation for complex technical concepts.
- Work independently, efficiently, and courteously, displaying patience during interruptions.
- Participate in on-call rotation and maintenance duties, available 24/7.
- Aid in managing IT asset inventory and lifecycle.
- Demonstrate initiative in performing job duties and assigned tasks.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITY
- Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in building, deploying, and troubleshooting computer systems, printers, software, and IP networks within an enterprise environment.
- Demonstrated practical expertise in supporting Microsoft technologies.
- Conducts thorough root-cause analysis for system/service interruptions, collaborating with colleagues to develop preventive measures.
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Recognizes and adheres to contemporary security standards.
- Deep understanding and commitment to enhancing user technology interface experience.
- Highly motivated with a proven ability to quickly grasp new systems, technologies, and processes.
- Working knowledge of audio-visual equipment.
- Organized self-starter who consistently delivers quality, detail-oriented work on time.
- Seeks guidance when needed.
- Excellent critical thinking, analysis, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Active listener who identifies needs, asks clarifying questions, and eagerly shares technical knowledge.
- Effectively handles pressure, both in person and virtually, while maintaining courteous and efficient interactions with internal customers, partners, colleagues, and vendors.
- Exercises discretion in maintaining confidentiality of systems, content, and organizational information.
- Performs assigned tasks and additional responsibilities as needed.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related technical field and more than (1+) year of experience in information systems or related field;
OR
A combination of experience, education, and training that indicate the level of skills, knowledge, and abilities required to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the job.
M365 Administration and Modern Desktop Administrator preferred.
LICENSES & OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Possess and retains a valid state driver's license without impending loss at time of appointment.
