Residential Care Worker
We have an exciting opportunity for a residential/short break carer 18 hours a week at Pinewood.

We are seeking to appoint a committed, creative and resilient short break carer working in a residential short breaks home, alongside an enthusiastic well-established team, caring for young people aged between 8-18years that have a range of disabilities. As part of your role you will be expected to carry out all aspects of personal care, administering of medication and will be committed to ensuring Good strong relationships and outstanding outcomes for our children in this challenging and rewarding role. Chester’s Residential service aims to ensure that its most vulnerable children's needs are met and that their life chances are maximised to enable them to achieve their full potential. The Council has a strong residential service where all of our homes are rated as either good or outstanding.
You should have relevant experience of working with children. Along with this, you should also have the QCF Level 3 or equivalent in residential childcare. You will be part of a team that is committed to inspiring and motivating people in this type of setting to ensure exceptional care for children.
Our Children and Families work in a trauma informed way using our innovative multi-agency partnership model ‘Our Way of Working’.

The contractual work location for this role is listed above however you may be required to work from a range of work locations or sites within the Borough and may also be required to work from home, depending on the needs of the service.
