MENTAL HEALTH TEAM – 1 full time fixed term 1 year postA market supplement of £2,500 per annum (pro-rata for part-time hours) is in operation for AMHPs and will be payable in monthly instalments additional to your basic pay. This has been agreed until 31.12.2025 but may be reviewed before then.We are currently looking for a social worker to join us and help us to realise our ambitions to support the residents of Darlington to be as independent and healthy as possible.You will work as part of a cohesive team of social workers, support workers, under the supportive guidance of an experienced team manager and senior practitioner.The team deliver two functions:• A casework element, enabling the provision of social work with adults aged 18+ with a range of complex mental health needs in the Darlington area, working proactively with service users, their families, carers, and other relevant professionals.• To screen and complete Mental Health Act referrals, you will be expected to work towards qualification as an AMHP if you are not already qualified.We are looking for either newly qualified or experienced social workers who are committed to strength-based practice, focusing on enabling people as much as possible to build on their own networks and strengths as a means of meeting their needs. You will have demonstrable assessment and care management skills and the drive and passion to make a difference in a dynamic and fast paced team.
